The answer to this lies in your router settings, but exactly how you set these will depend on the router you are using.Īll routers allocate IP addresses within a fixed range, by default. When the Humax is subsequently switched on it will try to use the same address, causing a conflict. However, if you use a fixed address, it is possible for the router to issue the same address to a different device on the network while the Humax is switched off. So long as you let the DHCP server control all the devices on your network, it will not issue any duplicate addresses. The settings in the Configure IP page are issued to the Humax by your router's DHCP server. Short answer: note down all the information in the Configure IP page, then go to the manual settings (top line), and replicate them there.
